Senior Vice President & Corporate Controller​

Angie Owens is Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller. She leads American’s corporate, international, cargo, tax and revenue accounting operations, as well as the financial reporting, financial systems, payroll operations, payment strategy and corporate procurement teams.

Angie’s career at American spans more than 30 years and several roles after joining the airline in 1992. Previously, she was President and Chief Executive Officer of American Airlines Federal Credit Union. While there, she also served as Senior Vice President of Community Relations and Financial Services.

Prior to that, Angie served as General Auditor, Managing Director of Corporate Accounting and Financial Systems, Managing Director of Investor Relations for Sabre and various roles within corporate accounting and reporting after having worked for Ernst & Young for six years.

In addition to serving on ARC’s Board of Directors since 2019, Angie serves on the board of Cuna Mutual Group (CMG), an insurance and financial services provider and chairs the CMG audit committee. Angie earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. Angie is also a Certified Public Accountant.
