ARC to Reveal Findings on One-Way Ticket Growth at GBTA Convention

Company Also to Preview Enhancements to Its Business Intelligence Products

ARLINGTON, Va. – July 10, 2017 – Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) will release a new report at next week’s Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Convention 2017, disclosing the percentage of one-way airline tickets (versus roundtrip) has significantly increased from 2014 to present. The report reveals the trend starting primarily with leisure travelers, but highlights opportunities that may not be obvious to travel managers. This new study from ARC shows that competition gives business travelers more one-way choices. ARC will distribute an advance copy to journalists attending GBTA’s Media Day on Sunday, July 16.

ARC will also preview a set of enhancements to its business intelligence (BI) suite, which incorporates products driven by ARC’s accurate and trusted data. The BI suite helps corporate travel managers and travel agencies better understand their air travel programs and ticket spend, and provides airlines a clearer picture of their sales channels. ARC will also demonstrate its two newest products: Aria and Air Program Monitor.

Product demonstrations taking place at ARC's booth (#437) during exhibition hours will include:

  • Corporate BI, a state-of-the-art solution for corporate travel managers, procurement teams and their executives to effectively perform supplier management, traveler compliance and market- and peer-group benchmarking.
  • Agency BI, which provides travel agencies with a consolidated view of ticketing data and peer benchmark comparisons to measure performance across their business operations.
  • Airline BI, for airlines to accurately analyze their agency's U.S. point of sales and general market data to make more targeted and fact-based business decisions.
  • Aria, for agencies to view, analyze and download their weekly ARC-settled ticketing data using either an online reporting tool, or a raw data feed, to access key revenue and volume metrics and reconcile back-office systems.
  • Air Program Monitor, an easy-to-use analytical tool that provides travel managers with a high-level review of their air travel spend metrics to effectively measure program performance and prepare for airline business reviews.

ARC will participate in GBTA’s Media Day, an event for media representatives attending the convention. ARC’s briefing will begin at 11:00 a.m., ET on Sunday, July 16. Media Day will take place in the North Lobby of the Convention Center. It will also be livestreamed on GBTA’s Facebook page.

Additionally, ARC is hosting an exclusive after-party for GBTA attendees with co-sponsor UATP on Monday, July 17, from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., ET, at Candi and Guilt Nightclub, 79 Warrenton St. Attendees can RSVP to the party online and receive wristbands by visiting ARC’s exhibit booth (#437).

ARC invites convention attendees to attend “Examining the Future of Airline Distribution,” where Kate Vasiloff, GBTA research manager; Dee Runyan, World Travel, Inc. president; Frank Hull, Delta Airlines managing director of sales development and Larry Ryan, Lufthansa senior director of sales, will discuss which distribution paths are more or less possible, and what implications those paths may have on businesses. The panel will be held Tuesday, July 18 at 8:00 a.m. in room 253B.
