Jeju Air Joins ARC

Jeju Air (7C/806) will join ARC as a participating airline effective with sales on April 30, 2018 (PED 05/06/18).

Headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, Jeju Air is the first low-cost airline to be established in Korea and is now the fastest growing airline in the country. Operating a fleet of 33 Boeing 737-800 aircraft, Jeju Air offers scheduled domestic services between several cities in South Korea, including the popular route of Gimpo-Juju. In addition, Jeju Air offers many international routes from Seoul including: Japan, China, Russia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Hong Kong, Macau, Saipan, Guam and more.

Jeju Air has elected the general concurrence method of agent appointment, whereby all ARC agents are automatically appointed as agents of Jeju Air. At this time, Jeju Air will only accept cash as a valid form of payment; however, the airline plans to add credit card acceptance in the future.

My ARC Redesign Coming Soon

In order to provide a more valuable user experience to our customers, we are updating the design and content on the My ARC login and dashboard pages.

A recent ARC survey showed that many of our customers are interested in ARC content on topics that will enhance their business — including product updates and tips, research, traveler trends, fraud prevention and more. We have taken this feedback and updated the design of the My ARC login and dashboard placing pertinent ARC content directly alongside the products you use on a regular basis. We are projected to launch this new design in early May 2018.

Here are a few things you need to know prior to launch:

  • Tools and products accessed from My ARC will NOT change in functionality or design.
  • The link to access My ARC will not change.
  • The tools and products you use will remain on My ARC via the “Tools” drop-down menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
  • Easy access to multiple resources via the drop-down list of links.

Additionally, it has come to our attention that, in some instances, agencies use robotics to enter and access data via My ARC tools and products. While we do not endorse this practice, we do not anticipate a disruption, as the ARC tools and products you use will not change in functionality whatsoever.

Tip of the Week: How to Set Up a New IAR User Account

Interactive Agent Reporting (IAR) access is granted from My ARC; however, the My ARC Administrator or IAR Administrator must complete the user setup process directly in IAR. When a new user is given IAR access, the new user defaults to a “View Only” role.

In IAR, user roles determine what type of action a user can perform in a sales report. Depending on the user’s role, fields in IAR will either be active, disabled or hidden; therefore, a user will only be able to perform actions based on the corresponding rights for this role. Only administrators can decide and assign the appropriate IAR role, as well as the ARC# Group (standard or a custom access group created by the Administrator) directly in IAR.

These are the steps that an administrator must follow to assign a role to a user:

  1. Select the Administration global header at the top right section of the IAR display.
  2. Find the user’s profile and select the Edit button.
  3. Select a User Role from the drop-down menu.
  4. Select a User Group (or groups) from the Available Groups column and move it to the Selected Groups column using the arrow buttons.
  5. Click the Submit button.
  6. The message: “Are you sure you wish to modify this user's profile settings?” will appear—click Yes.
  7. The message: “The user profile has been modified – These changes will take effect the next time the user logs into IAR 2.0” will appear.
