TravelConnect 2018: Special Interview with American Airlines Legend Bob Crandall

Join Holly Hegeman, founder and publisher of PlaneBusiness Banter, as she hosts a special one-on-one interview with Bob Crandall, former president, chief executive officer and chairman of American Airlines.

Crandall, best known for revolutionizing the booking system through Sabre at American and implementing the airline’s first frequent flyer program, “AAdvantage,” set precedents that would later influence other travel business models and ultimately, transform the way the global airline industry connects, grows and thrives today.

In this can’t-miss interview, Hegeman and Crandall will discuss his years at American — sharing stories about the people and events that have made the airline industry what it is today.

Come with your questions, as attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the Live Q&A portion of this “anything goes” conversation.

Tip of the Week: Why Does My ARC Log Off On Its Own After 15 Minutes?

ARC often receives questions about the My ARC automatic session timeout period, such as: “Is the timeout necessary?” or “Can the timeout duration be extended?”

ARC is a PCI-compliant (Payment Card Industry) company, and we have worked hard to earn and maintain our certification because we feel strongly about data security. One of the ways to protect sensitive data is to ensure that after 15 minutes of idle time within our tools, you will be automatically logged out. This can prevent an unauthorized party from accessing sensitive data in case a My ARC user inadvertently leaves their computer logged in to My ARC.

This security rule means that a new login is needed to reauthenticate and reactivate access to your session once the 15-minute limit is reached with no activity.
