Air Italy Update

Air Italy (IG/191) has notified ARC that it will cease flight operations effective Tuesday, February 25, 2020. At this time, travel agents should continue to process all transactions, including sales and refund transactions, through their GDS and weekly ARC sales report. Effective February 25, 2020, sales transactions will be inhibited in Interactive Agent Reporting (IAR); however, cash and credit card refunds will continue to be processed until further notice. Please submit outstanding IG/191 transactions in your weekly sales report as soon as possible.

Memo Manager Moving to New Platform

As the industry’s go-to source for memo processing and payment, Memo Manager is evolving to proactively ensure the integrity of its system and data. Starting February 13, the online tool will leverage a new platform to enhance technology efficiencies. Users of Memo Manager will not experience any service interruptions or functionality changes as a result of this migration. However, users may notice a slight difference in the product’s appearance.

Planned My ARC System Maintenance February 16

My ARC, including all tools and products, will be unavailable on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 1:00 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. (EST). During these times, you will be unable to access My ARC, including tools such as Memo Manager and IAR. These full system outages are required to perform crucial system and software updates.

We realize that any system outage may be an inconvenience, but ARC is committed to providing a safe and secure operating environment. We purposely scheduled this update for Sunday, during early morning hours, to minimize the impact to most My ARC users. Your understanding and patience are appreciated as we improve and upgrade ARC’s systems. Please share this information with others in your organization that may be impacted.


ARC Specialist Training and Certification Class

Do you want the opportunity to earn your ARC Specialist Certificate?
The ARC Specialist Training and Certification class will be provided at ARC’s headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, March 10-12, 2020.
ARC developed the ARC Specialist Training and Certification program with the help of industry representatives from the travel agency and airline communities. This program provides education on ARC’s policies, procedures, products and services.
In this class, you will participate in written and verbal exercises as well as group discussions. Upon completion of the class, you will receive a certificate of completion.

After the class, you can take the ARC Specialist Certification exam online at your convenience. You will have 30 days to take the exam upon completion of the training class. Those who pass the exam will receive their ARC Specialist Certification.


Tip of the Week: The "Inaccessible Sales Report" IAR Error Message

When authorizing and submitting your weekly sales report, you may get the error message, “Inaccessible Sales Report.” Do not be alarmed if you receive this message; there is nothing wrong with your report.

All you have to do is close Interactive Agent Reporting (IAR) using the “Close IAR” link in the upper right hand corner of the IAR sales report screen, and then open IAR again. You should then be able to authorize and submit your sales report.
