Precision Air Re-joins ARC

Precision Air (PW/031) will re-join ARC as a participating airline effective Monday, October 12, 2020 (PED 10/18/2020). Precision Air is a Tanzanian airline based at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam. The airline operates scheduled passenger services to Nairobi, Entebbe, and airports in Tanzania. The airline will be under the General Concurrence method of appointment, whereby all ARC agents are automatically appointed as agents of Precision Air.

Better Manage Your Travel Agency Accreditation with ARC’s New Tool 

On October 21, 2020, agency change requests and account maintenance will be made through ARC’s new accreditation tool developed in conjunction with the travel agency community. Requests that previously required phone calls or emailing forms will now be self-service, such as updating an address, adding staff, designating a new home office location (HOL) or adding a branch.

The new accreditation tool is easily accessible from any device, including tablets and mobile phones, at any time, enabling agencies to manage their accreditation with ARC even outside normal business hours.

2020 Quarterly Transaction Fees – 3rd Quarter

This is a reminder about travel agency/corporate travel department transaction fee that is assessed by ARC on a quarterly basis. See the chart below outlining this tiered fee structure. Note: Agencies with less than 1,000 transactions per quarter will not be assessed transaction fees. A separate debit representing this fee will be drawn against your ARC designated bank account on or after October 22, 2020. Only one draft will be issued for consolidated drafting agents.

Tip of the Week: Are You Missing a Transaction from IAR?

When a transaction you have issued in your GDS does not appear in your IAR sales report, it is recommended that you log in to Document Retrieval Service (DRS) and perform an initial Quick Search. If the message “No Matching Documents Found for Your Search” is displayed, that means your GDS provider did not send the transaction to ARC.

In such instances, please contact your GDS provider so they can investigate why that specific transaction was not sent to ARC.

You do have the ability to add a missing transaction into IAR by selecting the ADD tab and manually entering the missing data.
