Due to the ARC office closure for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, weekly sales reports for PED 01/17/21 must be authorized by 5 p.m. EST on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

2021 Annual Travel Agency Location Fee

The 2021 annual agent location fee of $304 will be collected for each of your office locations via electronic draft from your designated bank account on January 21, 2021.

A separate draft of $304 will be issued for each active agency branch location on record as of January 3, 2021. For consolidated drafting agents, only one draft will be assessed for all ARC-approved locations.

If your agency has filters on your bank account, please make sure to contact your bank representative and add ARC’s Company ID 9521367276.

2020 Quarterly Transaction Fees – Fourth Quarter

This is a reminder about the agent/CTD transaction fee that is assessed on a quarterly basis. See the chart below outlining the tiered fee structure. Note: Agencies with fewer than 1,000 transactions per quarter will not be assessed transaction fees. A separate debit representing this fee will be drawn against the applicable ARC designated bank accounts on or after January 21, 2021. Only one draft will be issued for consolidated drafting agents.

Air Tanzania No Longer Accepts Diners Club, Discover, JCB, Visa or Mastercard

Effective PED 01/24/2021, Air Tanzania (TC/197) no longer accepts Diners Club, Discover, JCB, Visa or Mastercard as forms of payment through ARC.

Agents issuing refunds for Air Tanzania are encouraged to have customers to contact their card issuer for resolution, as ARC will not be outputting the refunds to the processor.

ARC Extends Free Access to Fraud Mitigation Tool

Tip of the Week: Use IAR to Research a Document's Use in a Refund or Exchange

Did you receive the error message “Coupon number not available?” Do you need to research if a document was used in a refund or an exchange? The LO-Find Old/Used Document function within the View Only tab in IAR allows you to search the past 13 months of your agency’s IAR history for this information. To access the View Only tab:

At the IAR Home Page screen,

  • Click the ARC# link to access a Sales Report.
    • The default Sales Report screen displays, set to the List tab.
  • Click the VIEW ONLY tab
  • Click the radio icon next to LO-Find Old/Used Document.
  • Type a document number into the 10-character Document# textbox.
  • Click the GO button.
  • The list redisplays with the old or used document listed.
    • The column headings of the list will change to show the document use information including which PED the document was used in.
    • If it was used in an exchange, the new document number will also be included.
