LIAT (LI/140) is Deleted from ARC

ARC has moved to suspend LIAT (LI/140) effective immediately in PED 11/28/2021. Accordingly, ARC has restricted the processing of all LIAT transactions in IAR.

Upcoming ARC System Maintenance Schedule

ARC systems will be unavailable the following dates and times:

  • Sunday, December 5, 2021: 1-10 p.m. EST (daytime hours).

  • Sunday, December 12, 2021: 1-7 a.m. EST.

  • Sunday, December 19, 2021: 1-7 a.m. EST.

My ARC will be unavailable during these scheduled times, which means you will be unable to access My ARC or any of its tools, such as IAR and Memo Manager. Note: Document Retrieval Service (DRS) will also be unavailable on Sunday, December 5 from 1 p.m. - 10 p.m. These system outages are necessary to perform required system upgrades and maintenance.

We apologize for the inconvenience and any impact this may have on your work with ARC tools and products. The intent of this advance notice is to provide you with adequate time to make any necessary schedule adjustments. Sunday dates are selected to minimize the impact to My ARC users considering Sunday is the day of the week with the lowest level of activity. Afternoon and evening times were selected to allow morning access to systems and to allow early morning and late evening files to complete. All systems are expected to be fully operational by 10 p.m. EST each of these Sunday evenings.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we improve and upgrade ARC systems. Please share this information with others in your organization that may be impacted by these scheduled outages.

2022 Annual Location Fees Draft Schedule

In order to operate our settlement platform, ARC maintains a 90/10 fee structure in which participating airlines contribute 90% of core costs and participating travel agencies contribute 10%. Travel agency contributions come from annual fees associated with each ARC-accredited agency location (i.e., home office location, branch) and quarterly transaction fees. The changes to travel agency fees for 2022 are outlined below. These changes have been approved by the ARC Joint Advisory Board-Agent Reporting Agreement (JAB-ARA) and by the ARC Board of Directors. All other fees, such as the return draft and late reporting fee, will remain the same in 2022.


2022 Annual Travel Agency Location Fee (AAF)

A 2022 annual travel agency location fee of $257 will be collected for each of your travel agency’s locations via electronic draft from your designated bank account on January 20, 2022. The fee may appear on your bank statement as “ARC Core Participation Fee,” though the exact wording will vary by bank. Please note:If you have not done so already, every agency must contact your bank representative and add ARC’s Company ID 9521367276. This ensures that ARC can successfully draft your 2022 annual fee. There is a $25 nonrefundable fee for all returned drafts.

There will be a separate draft for each active agency location on record as of January 2, 2022. For consolidated drafting agencies, only one draft will be assessed for all ARC-accredited locations. If your agency is going through a bank change or will be opting to voluntarily delete, please contact ARC’s Customer Care Center. You will need to finalize those details by December 17, 2021.

2022 Quarterly Transaction Fees

The 2022 quarterly transaction fees will only be applied to travel agencies that process 1,000 or more transactions in a particular quarter. The 2022 fee schedule is outlined below and on the ARC website.

ARC will notify travel agencies before each quarterly draft. For consolidated drafting agencies, only one draft will be assessed for all ARC-accredited locations. Please note:There is a $25 nonrefundable fee assessed for all returned drafts.

Tip of the Week: How to Update your Bank Account

If you need to update your bank account information, you may do so by using the Accreditation tool and following the instructions below:

  • Log into your My ARC account.

  • Go to your tools on the left and select Accreditation.

  • Log in using your My ARC login credentials.

  • If you are an HOL, please select your ARC Number on the left hand-side to show your branches (select the ARC Number you wish to update) If you are an independent agency, please continue to the next step.

  • You can edit your bank account by selecting the pencil icon on this page.

  • Select Submit.

Once your request has been submitted, our accreditation department will begin processing your updated information. The bank account will be approved instantly, however, the agency must keep the current bank account open for the next two weeks following the approval.
