Effective with sales issued on Monday, January 09, 2023 (PED 01/15/23), CHINA SOUTHERN AIRLINES (784/CZ) will begin accepting UnionPay as a form of payment through ARC.


Eastern Airways Accepts New Form of Payment

Effective with sales issued on Monday, December 19, 2022 (PED 12/25/22), Eastern Airways (467/T3) began accepting American Express as a form of payment through ARC.


Holiday Schedule

ARC’s offices will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2023, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Holiday Ticket Modification/Voiding Schedule

The GDS void/IAR reconciliation dates for tickets issued from Friday, January 13, 2023, to Sunday, January 15, 2023, will be extended until Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

Sales Report Submission

Weekly sales reports for PED 01/15/23 must be authorized by 11:59 p.m. EST on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

2022 Quarterly Transaction Fees – Fourth Quarter

Agencies with fewer than 1,000 transactions per quarter will not be assessed transaction fees. A separate debit representing this fee will be drawn against the applicable ARC-designated bank accounts on or after January 19, 2023.

2023 Annual Location Fees

Reminder: 2023 Annual Location Fees Will Be Drafted on January 19, 2023

In order to operate our settlement platform, ARC maintains a 90/10 fee structure in which participating airlines contribute 90% of core costs and participating travel agencies contribute 10%. Travel agency contributions come from annual fees associated with each ARC-accredited agency location (i.e., home office location, branch) and quarterly transaction fees. The changes to travel agency fees for 2023 are outlined below. These changes have been approved by the ARC Joint Advisory Board-Agent Reporting Agreement (JAB-ARA) and by the ARC Board of Directors. All other fees, such as the return draft and late reporting fee, will remain the same in 2023.

2023 Annual Travel Agency Location Fee (AAF)

A 2023 annual travel agency location fee of $264 will be collected for each of your travel agency’s locations via electronic draft from your designated bank account on January 19, 2023. The fee may appear on your bank statement as “ARC Core Participation Fee,” though the exact wording will vary by bank. Please note: If you have not done so already, every agency must contact your bank representative and add ARC’s Company ID 9521367276. This ensures that ARC can successfully draft your 2023 annual fee. There is a $25 nonrefundable fee for all returned drafts.

Tip of the Week: What is a My ARC Pending Request?

Have you ever wondered what happens when you request access to a specific tool or make a change that requires administrator approval in My ARC? These actions trigger a Pending Request for the Primary Administrator (PA). The PA must log into My ARC's Administration section and click on the Pending Requests tab.

As a My ARC user, you should follow up with your PA and remind them to work on your pending request. Once your request is processed, you will receive a confirmation message indicating whether your request has been approved or denied.
