ARC is NDC-Ready

In 2018, as airlines began to issue NDC transactions themselves using airline form codes, they found that ARC’s established settlement platform was essential. ARC created a pathway for these non-GDS transactions to flow through our systems in the same way that GDS transactions do.

Now, American Airlines is offering its best available third-party public channel content only through NDC connections. American Airlines uses Farelogix as its technology provider to facilitate NDC transaction issuance and will transmit to ARC for reporting and settlement. ARC has been settling NDC transactions issued by Farelogix via our settlement platform since 2006 and now settles Farelogix transactions for 15 additional airlines.

We have updated our FAQ document with information specific to American Airlines’ announcement.

The ARC Direct Connect team is available to answer your questions and chat with you about program details. Please email ndc@arccorp.com, and we’ll be in touch.

FRAUD ALERT:  Ongoing Phishing Email Scheme

Please share this information with your organization to help prevent fraud.

Unauthorized ticketing fraud activity has increased, and there are no signs of it slowing down.

Fraudsters will send phishing emails to entice recipients to select a “sign-in” box and enter their credentials. The sign-in link in these emails is controlled by the fraudster, allowing them to obtain the user’s GDS login credentials.

Reminder: No system provider will ever ask customers to log into the GDS via email.

Please take note of the suspicious items in the example email below:

  • The email was sent from the domain infos@xtianlies.info, which was created on May 17, 2022.

  • There are several spelling errors throughout: “information,” “training” and “Sabreis.”

Safeguard your IT environment by implementing policies and procedures such as updating passwords and login credentials every 30-90 days and validating email senders and hyperlinks before clicking and engaging (i.e., opening, forwarding and replying to emails).

To help you stay informed, we invite you to join Cornelius Hattingh and Doug Nass from ARC’s revenue integrity team for a fraud awareness webinar at 2-3 p.m. EDT Wednesday, April 12, 2023.
