Scheduled My ARC System Maintenance – February 18

My ARC will be unavailable on the following dates and times:

  • Sunday, February 18: 1-7 a.m. EST

During these scheduled times, you will be unable to access My ARC or any of its tools, including IAR and Memo Manager. These system outages are necessary to perform required system upgrades and maintenance.

ARC realizes that any system outage is an inconvenience to you, and we apologize for any impact this may have on your work with ARC tools and products. The intent of this advance notice is to provide you with adequate time to make any necessary schedule adjustments. To help minimize the impact to you, early Sunday mornings are selected for maintenance because this time has the lowest level of user activity.  

Your understanding and patience are appreciated as we improve and upgrade ARC systems. Please share this information with others in your organization that may be impacted by these scheduled outages. Presidents' Day Holiday Information

ARC offices will be closed on Monday, February 19, 2024, in observance of Presidents' Day.

Holiday Ticket Modification/Voiding Schedule

The GDS void/IAR reconciliation dates for tickets issued from Friday, February 16, 2024, to Sunday, February 18, 2024, will be extended until Tuesday, February 20, 2024

Sales Report Submission

Weekly sales reports for PED 02/18/24 must be authorized by 11:59 p.m. EST on Wednesday, February 21, 2024

Tip of the Week: How can I link a Residual Value MCO/EMD to the primary exchange?

 IAR automatically links a residual value MCO or EMD to a new exchange when you follow these steps: 

 For MCOs:

  • Issue the new exchange ticket first.

  • Issue the residual value MCO on the same day as the NEW exchange (recommended) and be sure to:

  1. Include the NEW exchange document number (not the old document number) in the "Issued in Connection with Document Number" (ICDN) field.

  1. Include the word "RESIDUAL" in the "Type of Service" or "Valid For" field (Amadeus users can also use the word “FUTURE”).

 For EMDs:

  • Issue the new exchange ticket first.

  • Issue the residual value EMD the same day as the new exchange (recommended) and be sure to:

  1. Include the NEW exchange document number (not the old document number) in the "Issued in Connection with Document Number" (ICDN) field of the EMD. 

  1. Include one of the following 3-character EMD "Reason for Issuance Sub Codes" (RFIS) on the new EMD: 

    • 99I - Residual Value

    • 996 - Refundable Balance

    • 98E - Non-refundable Amount

Once linked, the exchange and the residual document become a single companion exchange transaction. A companion exchange is any exchange transaction with more than one new document. It is identified on the IAR sales report in the transaction type (TT) column with the indicator of “CX.”
