New Fraud Alert: Phishing Emails from Fake Third-Party GDS Provider

Be aware of a recent phishing email posing as “Travel Technology Solution,” claiming to be a third-party provider. This email uses IATA’s Montreal address and unusual phrases like “all global countries”—a recurring phishing sign. The sender’s domain, yingjiesheng.pro, was registered recently (8/30/24), adding to its suspicious nature. Please verify any unexpected emails before responding or clicking links.

GDS providers will never ask agents to log into their system through an email link.

Always log into your GDS through bookmarks in your browser, not through an email link.

Visit the fraud prevention page for more information on unauthorized ticketing and additional fraud schemes targeting the agency community. Please view our Cybersecurity Guide and on-demand webinars for additional resources.

ARC’s revenue integrity team is here to provide fraud-related support. If you suspect you have been a victim of fraud, contact ARC immediately by calling 855-358 0393 or emailing stopfraud@arccorp.com. We also offer after-hours and weekend support.

Relaunch of ARC's Annual Affirmation Program

ARC is relaunching our annual affirmation program this month. As part of our commitment to keep your account secure and up to date, affirming your agency’s business information is vital. To fulfill this objective, primary administrators will begin receiving affirmation email notifications 60 days before their home office location’s (HOL) ARC anniversary month. This will require you to affirm and, if needed, update all contact and ownership information for the HOL and each subordinate branch location.

Affirmation is an Agent Reporting Agreement (ARA) requirement (Part. II.7) that must be completed annually in ARC’s accreditation portal.

Affirming your data is important because:

  1. Accuracy of Information: Minimize errors that could affect your services, billing and communication with ARC.

  1. Improved Service Quality: Receive better, more personalized services, addressing your specific needs more efficiently.

  1. Fraud Prevention: Protect yourself from identity theft and fraud. Accurate data helps ARC quickly detect and prevent unauthorized access or fraudulent activities related to your account.

  1. Regulatory Compliance: Help yourself and ARC comply with legal and regulatory requirements to safeguard your rights and maintain transparency.

  1. Streamlined Communication: Receive timely updates, notifications and important information regarding your account and services.

  1. Security and Privacy: Minimize the risk of sensitive information reaching incorrect addresses or unauthorized individuals, protecting your interests and ensuring a secure experience.

We appreciate your efforts in helping us achieve this key objective. You can find answers to frequently asked questions on our FAQ page. For additional assistance, please call our Customer Care team at 855-816-8003 or email at ccchelp@arccorp.com.

Document Retrieval Service is Moving to My ARC

Starting in 2025, ARC will implement multifactor authentication (MFA) as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance account security.

As part of the transition to MFA, beginning February 6, 2025, Document Retrieval Service (DRS) will only be available via My ARC. To prepare for this change, we recommend linking your DRS account to your My ARC account.

How do I link my accounts?

From any DRS page, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Link/Unlink option at the top of the DRS page.

  1. Type in the three linking criteria listed and press Enter.

  • Provide your DRS credentials (organization number, user ID and password).

  • Choose the Link radio button.

  • Enter your My ARC credentials (user ID and password).

  1. A link or unlink confirmation message will be displayed.

If you have questions or need assistance linking your accounts, please visit our DRS FAQs page or contact our Customer Care Center at 855-816-8003 or ccchelp@arccorp.com.

Thank you for your attention to this important update and continued trust in our services. We are committed to providing you with the highest level of security and convenience.

Election Day Schedule

ARC’s offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 5, in observance of Election Day. All sales reports for PED 11/03/2024 must be authorized by 11:59 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

Transactions issued in your GDS from Monday, November 4, 2024, may be voided or modified in the GDS or IAR until Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

Scheduled My ARC System Maintenance – Nov. 10

My ARC will be unavailable Sunday, November 10, from 1-6 a.m. ET.

During this time, you will be unable to access My ARC or any of its tools, including IAR and Memo Manager. These system outages are necessary to perform required system upgrades and maintenance.

ARC realizes that any system outage is an inconvenience to you. We apologize for any impact this may have on your work with ARC tools and products. The intent of this advance notice is to provide you with adequate time to make any necessary schedule adjustments. To help minimize the impact to you, early Sunday mornings are selected for maintenance because this time has the lowest level of user activity.

Your understanding and patience are appreciated as we improve and upgrade ARC systems. Please share this information with others in your organization who may be impacted by these scheduled outages. Subscribe for notifications whenever any ARC system encounters an unexpected incident or is scheduled for maintenance at the ARC Status Dashboard.

Tip of the Week: Reversing an Authorized and Submitted IAR Sales Report

Accuracy is a key component of the Sales Report. If you discover that changes must be made to a transaction(s) in a Sales Report that has already been submitted, you may still do so with the authorize reverse command. The authorize reverse feature allows you to electronically retrieve the Sales Report from ARC.

You may reverse the Authorized/Submitted status of a sales report if the reporting deadline has not passed. Reversing the authorized status of a report restores your ability to add, modify, or delete transaction information contained in the report.  You may reverse a single Sales Report that has already been submitted to ARC any time prior to the Tuesday 11:59 p.m. Eastern time zone deadline. However, once you reverse the authorized status of a report, you are still responsible for authorizing the report again before the Tuesday 11:59 p.m. Eastern time zone deadline.  To reverse the authorization of a Sales Report on the IAR home page:

  1. Click the box associated with the ARC# to Reverse Authorize/Submit.
  2. Click the “R” box located under the Rev A/S heading.
  3. The Reverse Authorize Status screen will display.
  4. Type your password in the enter PASSWORD textbox.
  5. Click the SUBMIT button to submit the reverse authorize/submit request.
  6. Click the CANCEL button to cancel the reverse authorize/submit of the Sales Report and return to the Sales Report screen.
