New Fraud Alert: Phishing Emails from Fake Third-Party GDS Provider

Please be aware of a recent phishing email pretending to be from Sabre's Tourism Segment Solution platform. The email promotes a highly adaptable tour management system but originates from a fraudulent site. If you examine the domain (hxxp://sabre-sites.com), you will notice that due to the presence of a dash, it belongs to "sites.com," not sabre.com.

 Always verify unexpected emails before responding or clicking on any links.

 GDS providers will never ask agents to log into their systems via email.

 Always log into your GDS through bookmarks in your browser, not through an email link.

Tip of the Week: An Agent Automated Deduction

An Agent Automated Deduction (AAD) is a request for reimbursement from an airline for an error in a transaction reported in a previous sales report within one of the last 12 PEDs. It may be used to correct a mistake on a transaction in the sales report (overpayment on a transaction, incorrect commission, etc.). An agent may claim up to $25 on an ARC-settled document but is limited to one AAD per document.

To create an AAD, follow these steps:

• Sign in to your IAR sales report.

• Click the add tab.

• Choose TD-AAD. Type in the 14-character ticket number to the right of the screen.

• Click Go.

The AAD screen will then display the values initially settled for the ticket. You can make the necessary adjustments in the “Should Be” column and change the net remit accordingly.

ARC will process AADs included in an IAR Sales Report; however, the agent is responsible for researching and verifying the circumstances of the transaction. Please note that entering the AAD in IAR does not imply that the airline agrees with the amount or circumstances surrounding the AAD.
