At ARC, travel isn’t just an industry to our team – it’s a passion. We believe in travel’s ability to connect people and create opportunities to learn and grow from each other.
As the summer travel season continues, we’re celebrating some of our favorite destinations around the world and close to home to help inspire your next trip.
“Nepal has stunning vistas, history and culture shaped by both Hindu and Buddhist traditions. There’s also a rich beauty in the kindness of its people. Momos, a staple of Nepali cuisine, are delicious. Getting around is a little precarious and not for the faint-hearted, but that’s what I think travel is all about – getting out of your comfort zone!”
“Greece has so much history, wonderful food, and beautiful weather. What more could you ask for? I visited 15 years ago with my best friend and we still talk about the trip to this day.”
“I recently completed a trip to Europe. Bergen, Norway, impressed me the most. The views from the fjords in the surrounding areas are incredible. The sun doesn’t set until 11 p.m. local time, so it’s not uncommon to see tourists and locals wandering the streets when you’re used to it being dark.”
“If I’m thinking internationally, it has to be either Stockholm or Oslo. I enjoy Scandinavia for all it has to offer. It has such an interesting history. The people are friendly and welcoming. It is also nice that the city is easy to navigate. Scandinavian cities are usually less traveled than other popular European destinations, so it is nice to avoid the crowds.”
“Seattle, Washington, has a special place in my heart. I love the proximity to mountains, lakes and vast forests, plus the rich diversity of the city’s culture. I got married there in 2013. The first time I visited I was in awe of the moss growing on the top of houses.”
“I love taking a day trip to Tucson, Arizona. Winters linger in Colorado (where I live), so a quick trip to Tucson to hike through the saguaro and enjoy fantastic foods and the sunset can be magical.”
“It’s hard to pick a single favorite destination, but Cape Town, South Africa, is near the top for me. I will never forget the stunning sunset over Table Mountain as our plane began its descent. The landscape in and around the city is breathtaking.”
“I wanted to visit Vancouver, British Columbia, ever since city hosted the Winter Olympics in 2010. When I was finally able to spend a few days there, I was amazed by the food and drink, stunning scenery and incredible nature trails. Although just across the border from Washington state, it truly felt like an international city with a mix of so many different cultures. I’d go back in a heartbeat.”
“In 2021, my wife and I spent our honeymoon between Oahu and Maui. To this day, I feel like Hawaii is a surreal place with awesome weather and great food. I even went skydiving while I was there.”
“My favorite destination in the U.S. is Yellowstone National Park. It’s a world in and of itself between the geysers and wildlife, which includes bears and bison. It’s nature at its best. Pristine and unmatched. I look forward to the next chance I get to go there.”
