For the tenth year, ARC and Expedia partnered to deliver the 2025 Air Hacks Report, a data-driven look at how travelers can save money booking air travel. The report, which incorporates findings from OAG, analyzes data over the past 12 months to show which travel trends impact airfare. The report takes a deeper look at eight air travel myths and highlights tips to save on your upcoming travel.
What month is the cheapest for air travel?
While summer is the busiest time for airlines and air travelers, it isn’t always the most expensive. ARC’s global database found that flying in August could save travelers up to 13% when flying economy. ARC’s data also concluded that the month of March, which is synonymous with spring break in the U.S. and other countries around the world, is typically the most expensive month to fly.
When it comes to seating, for travelers flying premium, July is as the cheapest month on average compared to February, which is the most expensive.
When should you book travel?
Sunday, on average, remains the cheapest day to book flights, with savings of up to 8% compared to booking on a Friday. That margin shrunk from last year’s difference of 13%.
