In 2018, as airlines began to issue NDC transactions themselves using airline form codes, they found that ARC’s established settlement platform was essential. ARC created a pathway for these non-GDS transactions to flow through our systems in the same way that GDS transactions do.

Now, American Airlines is offering its best available third-party public channel content only through NDC connections. American Airlines uses Farelogix as its technology provider to facilitate NDC transaction issuance and will transmit to ARC for reporting and settlement. ARC has been settling NDC transactions issued by Farelogix via our settlement platform since 2006 and now settles Farelogix transactions for 16 airlines.
