Advise everyone who has access to the GDS not to open attachments or log into the GDS through an email.

Recently, agents have reported that criminal(s) have stolen the identity of an ARC/IATA agency.

Fraudsters are unusually active during holiday weekends. Current phishing emails entice the reader to open an attachment.

A woman has called travel agents requesting tickets for same/next day travel for relatives due to a family emergency.

Several agents have reported receiving phishing emails enticing them to open the attachment – DO NOT CLICK ON THE ATTACHMENT!

Several agents have again confirmed that compromised credit cards are being used for tickets that appear to be from their corporate account.

There is a new fraud trend impacting travel agents and carriers, which manipulates and exploits weak spots in risk management systems.
